When you license a design there are a few options to consider.
The Terms of Use for any license are negotiated with each client. Prices will vary based on the usage terms.
Before you decide what license type is right for you, we will walk through your needs to determine the duration, industry and other aspects of the agreement.
Types of licenses*
Limited license
When you purchase a limited license you are buying the rights to use the design but other brands may also purchase the same design for the same or different industries. This is a nice option for brands with a smaller budget.
Exclusive license
When you purchase an exclusive license you are buying the rights to use the design in your industry. Other brands in your industry cannot purchase the same design for the same industry. This is a good option for brands who are in a growth phase and looking to stand out.
Custom design
When you purchase a custom design license you will get the rights to use the design and no one else will be able to purchase that design*. This is an original design created just for your brand. *Purchasing any License does not mean you have Copyright. Copyright of the artwork/design is not typically available for purchase and full Copyright is retained by the Artist.
